Heading to the USA! Along with friends of East-West Initiatives, Zaid is heading to the United States of America to attend the National Prayer Breakfast of 2009 in Washington D.C. The event is organized by the congress; invitations are sent to leaders from the USA and around the world including the President of the United States of America. Our trip will include New York, Boston, Washington D.C and Philadelphia. Special thanks to King Abdullah II Fund for Development who sponsored us for this exciting event.

Back from Bekaa, Lebanon! Schneider Electric East Mediterranean (SEEM) held its second sales forum in West Bekaa Country Club, Lebanon. The Sales Forum targeted the sales team in SEEM and tackled various important topics in sales, marketing, customer management and more. The sessions were conducted by personnel from Schneider Electric Corporate in France as well as business pioneers in the middle east region. It was a great opportunity to meet SEEM colleagues from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Cyprus and to get involved in some Unleash Your Energy activities such as basketball, swimming and telematch!

Back from Beirut, Lebanon! I have recently returned from Beirut after completing an integration week in Schneider Electric East Mediterranean premises in Tabaris, Achrafieh. During the week, I was introduced to =S= services and offers and also trained on variable speed drives. In addition, I had the opportunity to discover many attractions in Beirut and live its wonderful nights.

Back from Athens, Greece! I have been awarded a scholarship by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah to attend a two-week Summer school in Athens Information Technology Center. The experience was great since it kept me up-to-date in my specialization and gave me the opportunity to discover the Greek land and culture. |

| Summer in
Europe! " An indescribable feeling ran into myself when we were playing a movie about my beloved country in the farewell party in Tutzing. After exceeding the two-month period overseas, I watched that movie along with my Jordanian colleagues who represented Jordan and with our German friends and guests. At this moment I felt that my mission has successfully ended and its time to go home. In the movie closing, my tears dropped as the movie described the spiritual experience with the background of Amman mosques and their wonderful sound of Athan (calling of prayer). Yes, I had the most fun and enjoyable time that anyone could have in Poland and Germany as well. However, I missed my country, my home, my mother, my father, my brothers and sisters and indeed all the great people I know. I always counted days to see how many are left to go back home!" This was just a tiny part of my experience in Europe. I am still writing about it, and it will be publish on my website soon. | Graduation Project This semester Mousa Sarhan, Ahmad Alyyan and Zaid Asfour have started their graduation project in the university under the supervision of Dr. Rabi Al-Rabadi. The project which is entitled "Estimation of Energy Consumption in Human Walking" is participating in the National Technology Parade 2008 organized by the University of Jordan, the United Nations Development Fund for Women, IEEE in Jordan, and other leading Jordanian Universities.
